Storm the barricades for a ticket!
I have seen several performances of this marvellous show and this was the best yet. Bradley Jaden is a star in the making. Loved every minute
Fantastic show, great venue
Been threatening to see show for years and thankfully got round to it, truly wonderful and emotional performance
Beautiful theatre and fantastic cast. Could not have asked for a better evening!
It was the best theatre play I have ever seen. ı was impressed by hearth about the acting, decors, costumes and Sondheim Theatre building... It was an amazing performance. I feel so lucky because of watching Les miserable in London is one of the items of my do list before death.
As first time attendees of Les Miserables in the theatre, it was only a short while into the performance before we appreciated why it was the 6th time for the lady on my right and the 10th time for our friends. The talent was excellent. We talked endlessly about it for days afterwards and cannot wait for our next trip to a city that is showing this amazing show.
The show was absolutely fantastic! It was my first ever theatre show and a gift for my dad for his birthday and we had a great time. The acting was brilliant, everyone that worked at the theatre were extremely helpful too!
Outstanding performance in every way just loved it, sooo powerful and emotional, music/songs great
Perfect Cast elaborate scenery very intelligent changes of scenery love the music anyway might be the best I have ever seen
Amazing production, beautiful theater and cast amazing. Main actor was just fantastic. Went with my 15 year old who enjoyed the show just as much as i did.
I saw Les Mis many years ago, when I visited the UK and loved it, hence wanting to see it again. I can not describe how absolutely magnificent the experience was. I was moved to tears at the end of the performance, so wonderful was the acting and talent of the performers and their superb voices.
This was my husbands Christmas present. His favourite musical. The production was fantastic and great to be able to hear what the cast were saying and singing. Only down side was the theatre got very hot which made it slightly uncomfortable. Amazing performance and would recommend to anyone to go
What a truly amazing performance. I’ve seen this show loads of times but I was knocked out by outstanding performances of all the artists. This show stands on a league of its own.
Absolutely amazing voices were incredible, great acting great special effects you must see this !!
Amazing musical with outstanding acting, music, scenes full of emotions. I saw it for the first time 33 years ago, with the experience hooking me to watch musicals; I took my husband as a surprise birthday and he was so full of praise and joy. Worth the money.
This music touches my soul in a way that no other performance ever has. The actors and actresses, orchestra and stage crew are PHENOMENAL. If you ever get to see this, please do! The theatre is beautiful and all staff are incredibly friendly and professional. I will be back. Thank you for such an incredible night.
A phenomenal performance. Never disappointed. My 13 year old son was enthralled from start to finish. Thank you to an exceptional cast.
I have always been a fan of Les Mis, but i have never known it to be this good, even if you are not a fan of the actual story, the visual effects are worth seeing and i have seen many shows and this is by far the best, the actors voices, facial expressions and just overall performances create the full immersion into the world of Les Mis, it is so good in fact that i would recommend not seeing it as your introduction to theatre because every play you see after it will not be able to compete.
What a wonderful show. Better than expected the seats were high up but did not spoil the show. Totally brill
I wonderful performance. Our 2nd time seeing the show...can I say more
Les miserables is a stunning show. The actors are brilliant, their voices so powerful. I would highly recommend this and would go and see it again. Can't fault it.
Great show but spent most of it looking at the back of someone’s head. The seating arrangement in row Q in the stalls are not very good.
Was an amazing performance, I loved it and would love to see it again
Having been advised to go and see Les Mis at the Barbican in the mid 1980s I finally managed to attend this brilliant stage show with my daughter at the Sondheim Theatre some 35 years later... Why have I waited so long? Anyway, so happy to say the show is everything I expected and more. The songs are powerfully delivered within the superb stage sets. Hopefully will be going again.
Although we booked seats as restricted view there were no restrictions and we could see everything even the top of the barackade. Row S which is under the circle and we were told we may not see everything.
Show was out of this world always heard good reviews. So wanted to see ourselves.Didnt disappoint absolutely amazing .
What a fab evening we shared at this show The whole crew gave us a wonderful experience, performers, musicians, and staging crew.
Only one word to describe Les Mis A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
Wow wow wow absolutely amazing you won’t be disappointed we loved it the singing was outstanding the actors were awesome so much so I want to go again . Just brilliant 💕💕
A wonderful performance from immensely talented actors and singers.
This was an absolutely top class performance, which we absolutely loved.
Loved the show lovely theatre fantastic sets and very well performed. Would recommend.
A fantastic show, go watch it.
It's been a life long dream of mine to watch this musical. Although different in parts and a little in style from the version I grew up and had memorized by age 12, this musical fulfilled my every expectation. Full of beauty, passion and heart, I would recommend it to anyone!
Went to see Les Mis on New Year's Eve. Fantastic refurbished theatre (now called the Sondheim) and new sets. Made even better by Matt Lucas reprising his role as the Innkeeper for the night. Cannot recommend this highly enough!
Absolutely amazing cast fantastic voices, very small stage which wasn’t as good but also had its ups as sitting mid stalls felt very intimate and sound was amazing, the cast was totally committed with top acting only very small and I mean very small negative was very small but repeating that did have its pros to
This felt like a school play. The characters were badly formed, the music too interrupted with modern interpretations and the overall sense of a karaoke of Les Mis songs amended to fit some new backdrop. It was excruciatingly boring, unmoving which is bizarre for Les mis - and I kept wondering why I could have been so silly to part with so much money. Two people could sing the rest not. I should add I went to see the original five times..... so I know the musical very well and am a huge fan. This is a shambles.
Had the most amazing experience! Can’t wait to go back.
What a great evening, easy to organise , easy to collect tickets and overall and outstanding time
Best West End show We've ever seen. Breath taking! If you haven't seen it yet, book tickets, you won't be disappointed.
Everything about the show and the performers are so great. I was crying all the time during the show. It’s always been my favorite one. I watched Les miserables in cinema and computer hundred times. And this time I finally really sit here. It’s amazing. I also bring my boyfriend to see Les miserables, he doesn’t have any interest at the beginning, and end up with red tear-crowded eyes. It’s a wrong decision making Les miserables his first time to see this kind of performance, he said the phantom of the opera is too boring because we have seen Les miserables first.
The newly refreshed "Les Mis" at the Sondheim has to be one of the jewels in the West End crown. Every scene has been freshly reconceived, with the most stunning and memorable stage pictures. I truly felt the misery of those Parisian slums and the exhilaration of the idealistic revolutionaries on the barricades. I have rarely ever felt such overwhelming surges of emotion as those great searing melodies came wafting through the auditorium. This was an evening of utter spell-binding pleasure and it has to have the most dramatic and beautiful lighting of any West End production ever - each scene like a Delacroix painting. Total bliss!!!
Les Miserables has such a reputation as the longest running musical in the west end, that to hear that they were making radical changes to the staging after the refurbishment inevitably leads to an apprehensive curiosity - the rotating stage has of course been an iconic factor of the piece for most of its lifetime. My partner and I have seen the old production some 9 times between us, and both were in absolute agreement that the new staging was a magical enhancement of the shows visuals whilst staying true to the heart and soul of what Les Mis has always been about: the people. The scenery never detracts from the actors' performances, and only ever emphasises the majesty, or confinement, or poverty, or beauty of whatever situation the poor people of Paris currently occupy. On this particular showing there was a technical issue just before Javert's final number, causing the performance to pause for 5 minutes or so, whilst mic packs, costumes and safety gear were assumedly all getting a once over. The cast and crew all dealt with it fantastically, stage managers keeping the audience informed, and ushers assisting the odd audience member who decided to use the pause to visit the facilities. Javert's reappearance after the pause was seamless, with the aid of the wonderful orchestra's musical immersion. Javert's final performance was just as impactful as if there had been no pause, the new staging once again creating a beautiful and striking picture - one of the most marked changes from the original staging.
We didn't have the best seats in the house, up in the Grand Circle but that didn't detract from the utterly brilliant performance we saw yesterday afternoon. I've always thought Bradley Jaden sublime as Javert - what a voice! But every performer was superb yesterday - even with a stoppage for a technical fault - I was in tears more than once!
Seen the show four times now and it gets better every time. First class entertainment
This performance was just amazing. Such a fantastic night that finished with an incredible ensemble number. The staff were absolutely brilliant as well as the new updates to the theatre are just gorgeous! I’d definitely recommend seeing this show especially in this theatre.
What an amazing show. Really enjoyed it. The whole of the cast were superb. 5 stars definitely recommend it
The show was unbelievable, from beginning till end, we were shocked with the performances of the actors, the voices were perfect, everyone was doing an excellent job! The end had us in tears! I wish we could watch it again in the future! Must see!!!
