Les Misérables has been on stage for twenty-nine years. It is the longest running musical on the West End and has won more awards than can be listed here. More people have seen the musical worldwide than the entire population of the UK. A lot more. Les Misérables tickets are still selling out and the cast continues to play to a packed house. The enduring brilliance of this now legendary musical cannot be denied.
Adapted from the novel by Victor Hugo, Les Misérables is an epic tale of love lost and found, sacrifice, redemption and the human spirit. The action is set in nineteenth-century revolutionary France where ex-convict Jean Valjean has been hunted for decades by the merciless policeman Javert after he breaks his parole. However, when Valjean takes on the care of Cosette, the young daughter of factory worker Fantine, everything changes.
With music composed by Claude-Michel Schönberg and libretto by Alain Boubil, this is a sung-through musical of extraordinary imaginative power and musical prowess. Now at London’s Queens Theatre, the sets and costumes add to the incredible sense of drama and scale. The frenetic revolutionary setting is truly brought to life and the stirring music, with songs including ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ and ‘Do You Hear the People Sing’, is given a fitting space in which to thrill and move the audience.
You will understand why it’s the longest running show as it’s meaningful story line captures you from the beginning to the end. One of the best musical performances we have seen in London.
A very strong cast. An amazing show on every level. A must see!
An amazing production. It has been tastefully updated with new stars and has continued to be a true representation of the story. The emotions portrayed within the play certainly come across to the audience which make it a true tearful experience.
A wonderful show we all thoroughly enjoyed it. One criticism, we thought that the orchestra drowned out the singers in several places which was a great shame you could not hear the words that they were singing. Much too loud.
Just a marvel to watch! The production and sets were amazing. The cast were superb! I was overwhelmed by the end! 😭
from the set, to the staff, to the amazing voices and talents of the cast and musicians, just magical, Jean Valjean was superb, go, even if you dont like musicals just go and do it!

The best musical I have ever seen! Acting and singing was first class! A completely captivating and moving experience and one I will never forget!
Incredible! Absolute must see
The whole experience was perfect. From the box office to the cast simply amazing. The performance was flawless. I loved it. The price is quite expensive and I had to walk a lot of dogs to earn this money but no regrets. Wish I could enjoy more shows in one year but there are only so many walks i can do to afford it.
Outstanding performances from every single member of the cast.
A superb production Brilliant cast
Les Miserables is the best live show I have ever watched. The story takes one on an emotional roller coaster accentuated by the amazing songs which were powerfully and beautifully delivered. There was comedy, heart ache and musicality - what more would you want from a great show?

The show was fantastic, miles beyond what I had expected! So much genuine passion! Very clearly sung so that even I (not being a native) could understand everything! The atmosphere in the theatre was electric. The seats super comfortable. Think I’ll go and see it again in the not too distant future! Thank you all you amazing actors!
They play was amazing, mesmerizing and fabulous. Can't recommend it enough.
Took my mum to see the show as her Christmas present and we both absolutely loved it. Great acting and singing from the 2 leading men John vel Jean and Javer. So much emotion in the show and just so superb. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone and would definitely see it again
Third time at Queens Theatre and the show was just as magnificent as the two former times we saw it. Well worth every penny!
This was my first time seeing Les Misérables, and I was not one bit disappointed. I could not find fault in the cast, the staging, the theatre or the staff.
Second time I’ve seen the show and already planning my third.
