It started as a hit song by ABBA, then it became a musical, and now it’s a phenomenon. MAMMA MIA! first premiered in London and has since been seen by tens of millions of people across the globe.
Set on a Greek island, the musical MAMMA MIA! tells the story of Sophie, a bride-to-be who wants nothing more than her unknown father to walk her down the aisle. So, she invites three of her fiercely independent mother’s ex-lovers to her wedding in a move that could make or break her special day.
ABBA classics such as ‘Dancing Queen’ and ‘Take a Chance on Me’ are woven into an original narrative that is funny and ironic, occasionally cheeky and unapologetically optimistic.
MAMMA MIA! is beloved by the world. With a striking number of audience members seeing it two, three and even four times, at any moment this West End triumph is playing on at least three continents.
Now playing at the Novello Theatre in London, there has never been a better time to buy your tickets to this uplifting show.

Loved every second of it
Having watched the movie several times I didn't quite know what to expect from the theatre. I found and the Show to be even more more exciting wonderous and breathtaking then the movie had seen. The actors was sublime the singing was second to none and I felt myself being dragged into the story something that I've never experienced before. This was a gift for my wife's 40th birthday and a memory for her that will remain forever and for that I am so grateful. I will most definitely come to see the show again some day.
Outstanding performance from all the cast had a fab night and a singalong. We had perfect seats to see such a great show. Would highly recommend
Excellent show! The lady who played Donna was exceptional! We all had a fantastic time .
Absolutely fantastic, went with my 10 year old granddaughter we both loved it. Very funny and enjoyable show x
I bought these tickets as a surprise for my 6yo daughter who is obsessed with the films!! We were singing and dancing throughout... what a performance!!! Would definitely recommend to families as the music, costumes and performances were naughty in places for the adults but colourful and exciting for the kids! ❤️ It
Amazing cast, musicians, sets and choreography.... Good for the soul and so much fun. Would love to come back every month to top up on the feel good factor. Saw this soon after it first opened and loved it... The updates are fantastic and it was great to watch with my friends and our daughters... Absolutely loved the sing-a-long..
Absolutely fantastic view not so brilliant in seats G16, 17, 18.
I brought it as a Christmas present for my 18 year old daughter she went with her boyfriend (secretly hoping i was going with her)😉but both came back saying how much they enjoyed whole experience//show . Great.
The energy is just amazing! Positively infectious and it is just such a joy! A real feel good experience and we sang in the taxi all the way home.
An absolute dream of a night! I have been a fan of the movie since I can remember and I always wanted to go! I also took my best friend for her birthday and she loved it!
Super performance from all the cast, full of fun, humour and songs.
The Mamma Mia show was awesome! Even better than we expected. The actors voices was amazing. Rosie looked, sang & played her part on point 💯 ! Personally Sophie was my favorite! Donna was equally as brilliant- her pitch was phenomenal- in all of her songs!! (I just wished that her hair had a few blonde highlights- to make her ‘Donna’ look more authentic). Sam, Tanya, - well, in-fact EVERYONE was exceptionally!! Thank you so much for such an impressive show!!!
The leads were great. Lots of fun and talented cast. Wonderful theater.
Everything was so good! Cannot fault the performance. Finale was so much fun!
I bought tickets as a Christmas gift for my husband as he loves ABBA and the film Mamma Mia! I was unsure as to whether I would enjoy it or not but like the theatre and was happy to go for him. By the end I too was a fan of both ABBA and Mamma Mia! The show was amazing, the actors were spectacular. Everyone was on their feet singing and dancing by the end. I can't recommend it highly enough. Just wish I could give it six stars!
the performance was excellent, the theatre itself was amazing
Absolutely brilliant would watch over and over again loved it
Fantastic show. Brilliant performance by all with exceptional singing of the ABBA hits. Loved by 3 generations in our family.
We loooved the musical but I felt there was too much body language for my daughter’s ages 6 and 9 years old which made me feel uncomfortable since they were asking questions. I wish I knew about it. Other rise the musical is lots of fun, and was so great to sing along some of the songs that we all know.
It was exactly like the movie. The singers were not amazing. The jokes and characters were nice and sometimes funny. But the performance was not stunning. But it was OK. I would instead recommend Mathilda the musical, it is sooo much better!
First time going to the theatre and I was blown away, the cast was amazing especially the actress who played Donna she was incredible, we had such a good night out and that’s made me go again to the theatre
I have seen this twice already and will go again
It was a very good experience for us. Although we are sitting at the seats, which have a slightly restricted view, it is a pleasure for us to watch this show. Thanks
What an uplifting, “years fall away” experience! Mandy and I have been mostly best friends since the age of 4 years. We grew up in the same neighbourhood and have seen each other through our childhoods, school, teenage broken hearts, work lives, marriages, children,, failed marriages😔 and all life has thrown in between. We are now youthfully facing 60 and with that in mind, I brought Mandy to see Mama Mia on Saturday evening (7/12/19) for her 60th birthday on 16/12/19. We had an absolute ball! The music typically formed the tracks of our years, although I guess we didn’t realise it at the time, but all our own history came flooding back alongside the story line of Mama Mia. Of course we knew the story line from the film version but the live show and cast threw a similar but different perspective that was completely captivating, heartwarming and melancholic all at the same time. Mazz’s renditions of “Slipping Through my Fingers “ and “The Winner Takes it All” we’re soaring and had particular resonance for both of us. So then the dance finale! We could have danced all night at this point so a few more numbers would have been appreciated but wow did we give it some anyway! Absolutely loved it💕. We are hoping to book tickets to take our daughters to see the show when it tours to Birmingham in the spring 2020. That should be a hoot!
I went to see mamma mia for my 40th birthday surprise with my friends, the leading lady was amazing, her voice blew us away and brought a tear to my eyes. Amazing highly recommended
Found the start of the show very slow to get into it. Also didn’t feel very entertained as when I sung along there was people complaining. Wasn’t one of the best musicals I’ve seen and was very disappointed.
Excellent show from start to finish
