Andrew Lloyd Webber’s enduring musical masterpiece has been playing at Her Majesty’s Theatre on London’s West End for twenty-eight years. The scintillating musical score of this unconventional love story and the extravagant sets and costumes continue to dazzle audiences.
Lurking deep beneath the lavish Paris Opera House lives the Phantom. Ashamed of his physical deformities and an object of intense fear among the public, he lives in the shadows. The Phantom has one companion, Christiane Daae, his protégée and the object of his obsessive love.
The Phantom of the Opera is gloriously grand in style and has been seen by over 100 million people worldwide precisely because of the immensity of its plot, its scenery and, of course, its music. Powerful narrative and traditional illusion have come together to create the most successful theatre show in history.
While enjoying record-breaking runs in theatres across the world, tickets for The Phantom of the Opera at London’s Her Majesty’s Theatre gain you a seat at the original production of this musical supernova.

I saw Phantom about 20 years ago but to see it again was a pleasure. Great music (as you'd expect) but what particularly struck me was the emotion of the story, quality acting by the lead and co-star and some fantastic atmospheric theatre scenery. A stunning theatre experience.
Been waiting to see phantom for over 10 years and I was not disappointed at all!!
The show was absolutely stunning. It was in fact my first visit to a theatre and I was amazed by the performance, the singing and everything. I even cried several times during the play!
Absolutely breathtaking, like being under a spell. Such powerful and pure singing. Excellent execution and fantastic scenery. Seem less, sad it was over!
The performers were amazing. Lovely singing and just blew me away. The set design, costume design, pyrotechnics were fantastic. The music and it's score was just beautiful. Almost made me cry. I recommend to everyone, I am not a big fan of opera but the phantom of the opera is to 'die' for. I recommend this performance highly.
For one more time I attended the PHANTOM - I guess, this is an addiction now. And why not? This is the absolute ultimatum show, regarding the production, direction, sets, costumes, choreography and most and foremost the music and the new cast. After 31 years, THE PHANTOM is still the same brilliant show as it has always been. Even, if you 're not a musical fan, I beg you: don't miss it! If you have to attend just one show visiting London THE PHANTOM is the one and only choice. It's such an excited experience. It's not just a must seen show, it's a part of our life now. You will be impressed, you'll be excited, you'll be thrilled, you will be happy after all. We must be eternally grateful to Sir A. L. Webber and to Sir Cameron Mackintosh - the top producer, for this show. I'm sure, THE PHANTOM will haunt us yet for many years and I'll certainly have the chance to see it again and again!
Amazing Saw it many years ago.... and would say it is just as good if not better
I've never miss a Phantom performance in my home country. The London show was excellent, the performance was great and capture the magic of story. Will see it again the next time I'm in London.
This was an amazing show, definite wow factor, voices were exceptional, would highly recommend to all Surprised to see face value of the tickets was £86 but i was charged £110 in total, quite a hefty service charge
We were seeing this show for the fourth time, amazing as always. I would highly recommend it
Small theater and small stage that allowed us to be very close. Have seen this production in Toronto, lansing and Kalamazoo a total of five times. The man who played the phantom was the best of all previous performances. The rest were quite good.
One of the best I've seen! Unforgettable!
This was my second time seeing the show and the first time for my partner. We both loved it! the cast were superb and the staging was great. I would definitely recommend going to see this show if you are ever in London, it is one of my favourite musicals!
This musical is wonderful. I saw it for the first time when I was 5 and I have also seen several times the movie. However, 15 years later, I continues to be for me a masterpiece. The performance is amazing, so is the decoration of the stage. Everything happens in a dynamic way, so it's impossible to get bored. For me it's a must whenever I come back to London.
Masterpiece
the show was very good great acting very good scenery and props also costumes very powerful singing voices and music so can be loud at times over all very good show
It was amazing!
I thoroughly enjoyed the performance and have wanted to see it for ages. I saw the film and loved it a while ago but the theatre performance was better. The effects and actors were fabulous and would certainly go and watch it again.
we had wanted to see this show for years and it really lived up to expectations, the preformers were amazing
I moved. I want to watch again.
I have wanted to watch Phantom of the Opera for years now and I must say it was everything I expected and more. Everything to do with the production was amazing ! The sets, the singing and the overall production was definitely worth the wait. A must see for sure.
The Phantom of the Opera was an excellent show. It was a bit hard to hear at times, but not enough to spoil the experience. The acting was outstanding and the music was beautiful. My husband and I enjoyed it very much.
The artist interpreting the Phantom of the Opera was really expressive. I've seen this spectacle at least six times and this probably was the one I liked the most.
Amazing performance!
A stunning and memorable performance.
Amazing, absolutely brilliant! Loved every single minute! I felt deeply immersed despite the fact our seats were not great, I still thoroughly enjoyed it! The songs are so beautiful I'd see it again. Had a standing ovation from the whole audience.
The show was amazing, and highly entertaining. The actors were suburb and the set was so creatively done. The music was flawless and overall it was a very enjoyable experience:
I bought this for a late valentines for my partner, never seeing the film or any version of this before I went in blind. I was totally blown away with the talent not only in the singing and acting but in the sets and stage decor. If you are thinking about going, just go! Wonderful night.
Having seen Phantom 4 previous times in various venues around the world the one I saw in London on the 17th July was really the best.
This show is amazing - we have been back to see it six times now - not giving any other shows a chance - we love it so much. It really is a MUST see! Awesome! And also - it would be so great if they brought back CHESS! Please, if someone is reading - CHESS!! Phantom and Chess - the two best shows ever! x
Better than we could have hoped for. We got 4 seats in the "Gods" and had a great night. My 15 and 18 year old daughters have seen the DVD's of the performance and the older loves to listen to the music so there was a concern that the "cheap seats" and something so eagerly anticipated would be an anti climax, not so, they are still talking about it. In an age where it is so hard to impress teenagers this definitely hit the target. We are on a budget and asked the girls what event they would like to go to in London and this won hands down. Would definitely go again given the opportunity.
I went with my daughter and her boyfriend yesterday and we all thoroughly enjoyed the show. The singing was amazing and the scenes and special effects enhanced the performance. I would recommend this show as a must see and I am still singing this morning!
Touching music and story! It's is an amazing opera that drives audiences emotional and sensitive.
having seen this before we loved the performances and songs as much as last time. What spoilt it massively for us were people ignoring the no photography signs and taking pictures after the staff member who asked them not to had turned their backs. of the 12 or so people we saw asked not to take pictures all carried on doing so once the staff member walked away. Even when people were asked not to take pictures they continued to do so with no negative results of their actions. our slightly restricted view tickets were more or less completely spoilt by the row in front leaning over the rail and blocking a limited view even further.
Definitely go see this it's brilliant all the characters play the roles well and worth every penny. The only negative is that at the end they should show the monkey on the headstone with the rose from the phantom rather than just ending at the opera. As it didn't end like this in the musical.
Wonderful and fantastic show!!! Costumes, singing, stage decorations were wonderful. The acting was incredible. Would definitely go see it again and again. Very well organized in both getting our tickets and finding our seats.
Superb. Very professional and the sets were fantastic. Will recommend to others and will come back again
Lead of phantom fabulous. The show itself was good. Not a fan of christines screaming. I know its opera but could not make out a word of what she sang.
Absolutely amazing music.
The actors' voices were extremely good. The characters were very well played by each and every actor, just like how they were in the book. The costumes, music, props and the overall ambience made the play very enjoyable.
My wife is a big fan of this show and we have seen it 5 times!!! In Ottawa, Montreal, New York and twice in London. great voices and we had a god time.
Saw Phantom many years ago in Sydney, Australia, but seeing it in the West End was a whole different experience. The set, the costumes & the atmosphere were all amazing & we were doubly thrilled to see Ben Forster playing Phantom having seen him in Jesus Christ Superstar (again in Sydney)! If you've not seen this iconic musical, recommend it in its home town!!
Great! I'd love to see it again! Definitely worth the price!
Outstanding, emotional, fantastic!!!! We laughed, we cried throughly deserved standing ovation
This was my fourth time going to watch Phantom of the Opera and it just gets better! My favourite musical of all time and thoroughly enjoyed it again.
Excellent play. Seating was not good.
Beautiful voices and fantastic acting! What a treat to get to see this beloved musical here in London! Theatre is lovely and comfortable!
What a performance totally enjoyed the whole evening apart from the view from the view of the stage in the grand circle to the left where the view was slightly restricted, had to lean forward to see some of the performance.
great cast, amazing scenery
A wonderful production. This was the third time I have seen the show. 2nd time in London. I feel sure there were a couple of tweaks here and there not seen in previous performances? The principals are superb, especially the Phantom. Totally believable, I was compelled to understand his true love for Christina and to also feel sorry for him despite the atrocities he carried out. A wonderful production all round. A word to the theatre management....found the theatre staff distracting as they lurked around in the dark searching for people with recording equipment/ cameras etc. Whilst I appreciate you cannot confiscate everyone's mobile cameras surely the people with 2 .YES Nikons with telephoto lenses around their necks could be asked to surrender them until the end of performance?
