No story line, music unrelated and so boring, 4 of us walked out before the interval. It has to be the worst musical I have been to in 50 years. Don't go and see it because you will be disappointed it was dreadful

An excellent night out, great songs, very funny book, much less dark than Kander and Ebb's 'Kiss of the Spider Woman' or even 'Chicago'. Jason Manford is very engaging and a reined in performance.

We went as a family with my 11 and 8 year old - excellent and entertaining throughout for adults and the kids, funny and a great cast and superb singing. Jason Mumford was brilliant as expected as was the guy that played the director ....... everyone was on top of their game !

I first saw this incredible show ten years ago and enjoyed it so much, I saw it a further three times. This West End revival is filled with intoxicating energy from every member of the cast, revelling in the musical-within-a-musical concept, poking fun at the profession in general.

Curtains began feeling rather corny and dated, but by the end I was grinning from ear to ear. Some great songs, dance and comedy. Live music excellent. A really feel good show.

A great performance from start to finish. It kept me guessing until the killer was revealed. Great casting, Jason plays the perfect bumbling detective.

An excellent show with great ‘toe-tapping’ music and modern lyrics. Good fun, great cast and all without elaborate sets or special effects

At the start of the performance 2 change of cast were announced, so not sure who I saw. The actors who played Georgia and Carmen gave very strong performances. Samuel Holmes was very entertaining as Christopher Belling, who had all the best one liners.

Music, dancing and comedy; lighthearted entertainment for the whole family (if you ignore the odd profanity)

I did not enjoy this show. The story was ok but the show was too long and some of the songs could have been shorter.

I really enjoyed the show and I thought that the performances from the cast were all very stong. It's not a show that I had seen before but I'd recommend it to any Kander and Ebb fan, or anyone wanting a night of music and laughs.

There were a few technical hitches at the performance we attended The show started 20 minutes late tho we were not given an explanation & the second half had to be stopped momentarily when some scenery got stuck. Otherwise it was a pleasant holiday afternoon but certainly not the standard of Chicago. Cast all unknown to me except Jason Manford did a satisfactory if not outstanding job. I attend the theatre frequently so obviously have high expectations particularly for West End productions.

Interesting idea - musical theatrical whodunit comedy, and brilliantly staged and performed by a very talented cast. But a dilemma for this sort of thing, what exactly does it think it is? It probably works best as a musical, with some great songs and dancing, the whodunit is a bit of added interest - but to really work as a comedy it has to go completely over the top, like 'The Producers'. There are some good laughs in here, and well worth going, but it's not Mel Brooks.

a great deal of fun Jason Manford is very good as the detective that is more interested in showbiz than solving crime

A knockout show, great songs, great singers, great performance all round. Having seen the show in New York some years ago, this was on par or even better. Is Jason Manford really American ? - he didn't lose the accent at all even when singing. The plot flowed, red herrings dropped in, lovely comedy moments, what's not to like?

Cast were brilliant and did a great job, but whole show of concept "musical whodunit" did not really work. Musical element overwhelmed the whodunit element. Story too intricate for a musical which really needs simpler concepts / emotions. Sorry guys, but really did not work for me. Pleasant evening, great songs, but overall for either a musical or a whodunit .... merely moderately enjoyable, but not a lasting hit production. Competition in London is however HUGE, may do better on a provincial tour.

A fantastic musical. It felt very classic and timeless. The music and performances were outstanding and the overall feel of it have me old fashioned show tingles. Loved the story, loved the cast, loved the music.
