One of Hollywood’s most beloved romantic stories of all time is now coming to the West End! Pretty Woman: The Musical features direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde, Hairspray), an original score by Grammy® winner Bryan Adams and his longtime songwriting partner Jim Vallance (“Summer of ’69”, “Heaven”) and a book by the movie’s legendary director Garry Marshall and screenwriter J.F. Lawton.
Aimie Atkinson ( Six, In the heights - The Take That Musical, Zorro The Musical) will play Vivian Ward and Danny Mac (White Christmas, Sunset Boulevard, Amelie) will play Edward Lewis in the smash hit PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL.
In the first few minutes I thought that it would never top the film, it took a while to warm up but it was fantastic, the star for me was Bob Harms the narrator. I spent my whole train journey home trying to find out how old he was as his energy and natural rhythm was amazing. A very sexy man.
Absolutely fantastic. So so glad we bought tickets. To be honest I wasn't sure how they'd recreate scenes from the film but they did, it literally mirrored the original. Cast were out of this world. A must see ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ignore the reviews and go yourself. Excellent cast, dancing and singing was splendid and engaging, a wonderful feel good show, well done
We loved it
Thoroughly enjoyed the performance. All characters were fantastic and the opera singing was absolutely amazing! Wow what a voice !!
GREAT SHOW, WITH A FEW PARTS OF THE FILM CHANGED/ADAPTED FOR THE STAGE BUT IN GOOD TASTE. NOT SURE ABOUT THE SONGS THO.......DIDN'T SEEM TO RECOGNISE ANY OF THEM! ALL IN ALL A GREAT PERFORMANCE BY ALL!
Really great musical, singing and dancing first class
The Leading Characters are Fantastic and yes Danny Mac can sing . Aimee Aitkinson omg she has Vivian aka Julia Roberts double absolutely fantastic, so so good. The Hotel Manager again fantastic and must be worn out from all the Characters he played. The whole cast were fantastic really really good. However the Choreography needs to be re-looked at , I presume it was all down to copyright and money. Firstly the songs apart from Pretty Woman and not the Roy Orbison version were not the original Soundtrack from the Movie. Never heard of any of them which ruined the Musical Side, secondly The Hotel Manager never had a thing for the Bell Boy. The Rodeo Drive scene should have had a shop front at least rather than just a rack of Clothes and when Vivian goes back at the shop and tells them big mistake that's the Que for Pretty Woman to play not just at the end. The Tv scene when Vivian is laughing surely you could have her with props rather than an Imaginary Tv . And again Edwards Car was a Ferrari not a Lamborghini and again no car in sight or the Final scene with Edward hanging out of the sunroof of the Limo again no Car . I know your limited by space on stage but please keep it real to the film or not at all. I mean after all Imagine Miss Saigon without a Helicopter!! Attention to detail there is a saying .. The six P's .. PROPER PLANNING and PREPARATION PREVENTS PREVENTS PISS POOR PERFORMANCE !! The Characters are great the Producer needs a Kick up the arse. I was sitting in Row E19 and 20 with my partner , she thought it was good but not fantastic. Me I thought it was really good again it's not the Characters it's the detail .
My friend and i saw Pretty Woman on Saturday 7th March '20..Omg we loved it..Brilliant music, and acting..The cast are brilliant..We were transported back to the 80s..Highly recommended.....
Loved the show, as I love the film, they both placed the characters Edward and Vivian really well, great singers and performers throughout
I went to Pretty Woman with my daughters & we had a great evening out. We thought the music was so good & it was very entertaining.
Absolutely Fabulous enjoyed it so much the singing was superb
Although the show was fabulous (a Birthday treat for my 'bestie'), we were totally distracted by a disturbance directly behind us ; some people were allowed to stand behind our back row in the Royal Circle! My friend will be emailing you as it was a fiasco and I believe they had to be escorted out of the theatre!!!!!de
Amazing feel good show, the music is Great, it's funny and touching & although I already loved Danny Mac the whole cast is top class.... just loved it, hope to go back again soon
We went to the opening night on Valentine's Day and loved it. We saw that there was a Friday matinee this week and thought why not go again. It is such a feel good musical. It follows the film with many memorable lines and scenes. Go and see it. I am sure we will see it again.
Follows the film closely all the main scenes covered, extremely well done great songs very well acted. A must see for fans of the film.
Really good lively show, enjoyed the guitar finale of Pretty Woman. Some familiar songs actually in the show would have been good though.
An entertaining evening but missing that wow factor. Followed the story that we all know and love with some well known lines but the singing and music didn’t have us rocking in our seats as a musical might. Somehow the lead parts and the narrative singing lacked charisma much of the time as the actors flitted between the characters from the film and their own adaptations which felt inconsistent.
The show is so good and funny in places. Highly recommend seeing it. I have only four stars as there were a couple of things that have been changed and one thing missed out however, it’s still very good x
If you like the feel good factor, then this is definitely for you. Amazing acting, wonderful new songs which were sung with sheer professionalism throughout. Could not fault one moment at all. My favourite character by far was the cheeky chappy Bell Boy (Giulio) played by up and coming star Alex Charles. If you feel a bit down in the dumps, go and see this as soon as possible. Love the film? You will love this even more.. Thank you for a wonderful evening. 5 Stars from me
Fantastic Really enjoyed Well Played
Excellent show. Cast was amazing looking forward to seeing it again.
I loved every character adaptation was amazing thoroughly recommend this show
the cast was excellent, songs appropriate to the storyline. good pacey rhythm from beginning to end. little deviation from the film music and choreography fist class
Was a brilliant performance, from all, portrayed the film brilliantly, definitely be recommending it to friends and family
It was amazing
Go & see it soon. Fresh energetic ... and dialogue so familiar if you’ve seen the film 🤣🤣. Terrific atmosphere
Amazing, singing, dancing...perfect musical. Loved the way all the cast danced at the end. Favourite scene has to be Rodeo Drive!
Brought tickets for pretty women for a valentines present for my fiancée what can I say it was amazing Up there with the best shows I’ve seen in the west end
Couldn’t wait to see this musical and we were not disappointed. What a great show! We loved every minute of it.
Amazing show, very similar to movie, Bravo all actors
Fantastic 10 out of 10 Non stop fun and laughter singing dancing and humour brilliant Couldn’t have asked for more A great night out
Pretty women is one of my all time favourite films,For it’s true love story line and so relatable to so many women. I found the show fun and laugh however I found some of the show lacked resemblance to the film which was real shame because that is what you look found to. Vivenne is well known for her long, curly and ginger hair however the actress did not have this and lots of people agreed, also her character is well know to be sometimes dibby but well spoken and I feel like sometimes this just came across as just silly. The well know scene of her in her brown dress is what we know her as and she came to stage in a blue dress which took my by surprise and quiet let down! Some key quotes was left out and some not emphasised and just pushed past. I found the music really up beat and a joy to listen to but a lot of the music was not the same which I can understand being a musical. I would recommend the musical but to true fans of the film I would not just due to the massive changes.
Funny, moving and so much like the movie :)
Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. It stayed true to the film and the cast were amazing, such powerful voices especially the opera “bit”. Well done everyone!
I felt amazing.speachless, indeed:)
This was without doubt the best musical I’ve been too. Funny, engaging, highly energetic, great music....the perfect evening. The two main characters have already built a great relationship and the whole cast fully deserved the standing ovation.
Well put together show
Great show! I loved it.
