Noises Off tickets
★★★★ "The funniest farce ever written." Evening Standard
Michael Frayn’s iconic backstage comedy Noises Off transfers to the West End, following a triumphant sell-out season at the Lyric Hammersmith.
Starring Lloyd Owen, Daniel Rigby, Simon Rouse, Meera Syal. The cast is completed by Sarah Hadland, Richard Henders, Lisa McGrillis, Anjli Mohindra and Adrian Richards.
With technical brilliance and split-second timing, it takes us behind the scenes with a company of actors in a hilarious and heartfelt tribute to the unpredictability of life in the theatre. Hailed as one of the funniest plays of all time, the Olivier Award-winning Noises Off originally premiered at the Lyric Hammersmith in 1982 and instantly became a timeless British comedy.
In an exuberant new production by Jeremy Herrin (All My Sons, Wolf Hall, This House), Noises Off arrives at the Garrick Theatre for a strictly limited run, for fans to enjoy and new audiences to discover.

★★★★ "As thrilling as ever." The Guardian
Noises Off reviews
Full of energy Absolutely hilarious from first minute to the last. Thanks
My friend & I were expecting an enjoyable evening out. It was a huge disappointment, as we were unable to laugh at anything, despite the good reviews. We both have a good sense of humour, but we found the whole performance childish. I have never written a review like this before, & we both feel that it was a waste of money, considering the high prices.
Very hilarious and professionally done
Had a great time the 2nd half was hilarious would definitely recommend
Never been to a play before so was apprehensive but this was funny really enjoyed
Great acting they were able to perform in silence and make you laugh at the same time. The show was very similar to the play that goes wrong.
This is truly one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. Genuinely had countless laugh out loud moments. All the cast were excellent, however I would like to especially shine attention to Daniel Rigby's performance which was truly outstanding.
A fast moving, complex piece of theatre , exquisitely executed by a wonderfully professional cast.
I've seen in three times since it's opening in 1982(?) and found it just as hilarious......
Excellent production. A tremendous feat of precision timing from the cast. Great fun to watch and a chance to escape the tedium of political shenanigans etc.
We thoroughly enjoyed this production- great cast, set and overall production.
Nonstop action and humour, choreography worthy of Bolshoi Ballet. So much movement, if you looked away for 30 seconds you risk missing a critical part of the plot. Laughed out loud particularly in the 3rd scene
thoroughly enjoy the comedy
We have been wanting to see Noises Off for many years and it did not disappoint. A fantastic and very energetic cast entertained us to an afternoon of laugh out loud enjoyment. Their timing was absolutely incredible and every element was delivered with complete mastery of comic timing. Slapstick farce at its absolute best .
I was not sure this was going to be for me ...then By the second act I was laughing so much my sides hurt quite literally by ACT 3 I was a wreck...eyes streaming ....etc...we relived on the underground platform with some theatre goers and mutually enjoyed the recent memory. My husband and I read the programme on returning to our hotel and enjoyed the humour in that all over again. Brilliant hard working cast. Laughing is a real tonic! Thankyou to them.
Good old fashion farce. I could not believe the stamina of the actors and the precision of their timing. One of the funniest things I have ever seen.
A thoroughly enjoyable play. Great acting by whole cast. Laughed from start to finish. Recommend it.
Really enjoyed show very well done extremely funny
Totally fantastic, great laugh if you ever worked in theatre, children on stage etc. Or just want to know what it’s really like. You must see.
The actors have played artificially. We have left the theatre after the first act.
For me this was not great .. just didn't hit the spot ....sorry
This is my favourite farce, have seen four different productions over the years, this one was disappointing. An unnecessary and unfunny change to the end of Act 2. As I was not engaged I can only put it down to performances/direction - farce has to be played absolutely 'straight', fine the over-the-top scenes when they are 'rehearsing' but when 'real' it should be 'real' and it was too large and ham.
We loved the play, in front and behind the scene. Great actors. We had a great afternoon.
What a wonderful time. Lovely theatre and show couldn’t be faulted. If you enjoy a good farce this is one of the best. Our ages ranged from 19 to 70 but we all equally had a lot of laughs. Well done everyone concerned.
A very funny play which we have seen before. This production is very enjoyable, particularly the second act. If you like farce, it is not to be missed. If you don't like farce, don't bother.
Very clever, fast and funny play. Have to be glued to it to keep up with the ever changing scenarios! But some very funny parts.
I saw it in 1982 and still found it very funny. Exhausting for the cast; were they so very enthusiastic then? A great evening.
The way this changed from front stage in the first half then backstage in the second half was amazing with each character expanding and changing also.
It seemed a bit to much like "The play that went Wrong" but not a good. The cast worked hard but as the act repeated itself 3 times be it viewed from differeing stages it seemed to go on too long. Acting was good and extreamly well co-ordinated.
We thoroughly enjoyed Noises Off, it was a great comedy, we took our two teenage children who found it very funny as well.
Its been a long time since i have laughed so hard. There is a great build up to the comedy which can seem a little long at times, but when you get right into the laughter everything makes sense. Really funny and clever and real treat.
Forget Brexit, and all your other worries too, with a night of pure joy!
I haven’t laughed like that for a long time. So much my cheeks started to ache! Perfects nights entertainment of talent and humour. Credit to all cast members and an epic script.
A fast, slapstick comedy. The second half much funnier than the first half. The script felt a bit dated, but the cast were excellent.
Excellent cast, clever stage management with the director talking from the auditorium. The second act got a little repetitive and somewhat frantic, but was superbly handled. Clever set design, particularly behind the scene. All in all a good evening out.
I was familiar with the material of it being a play within a play. It basically comes in three acts...of which my preferred was act three when the play is on its final run. One really gets a feel of how physical the play is especially for Daniel Rigby. Of the cast I really liked Simon Rouse as the drunken cast member. Overall the comedy felt a little forced but I enjoyed it and did laugh.
Hilarious show enjoyed by the whole audience. I would highly recommend it.
This was the 5th time I’ve seen Noises off but I really enjoyed the changes that were made. 1st time for my friend who loved it. A real tonic. How the actors cope with 2 performances I don’t know!
Excellent show with wonderful slapstick timing. We laughed all evening.
Absolutely brilliant production. So reminds of "church hall amateur dramatics!" Had us in stitches from beginning to end, superb acting and wonderful comic timing exhibited by all players. Well done. When's the next production coming?
Brilliant farce, perfect timing, laughs galore. My only disappointment was that, having seen it years ago, they turned the set around behind the curtain and not for the audience to view. But, hey, it might be because of the Garrick’s constraints. All in all, seriously good.
It was a most enjoyable evening. Great actors. Amazing energy and a very clever script.
